Happy Easter Everyone Well now this is very surprising. I never would've thought that I would do a family related vlog channel again but here we are. Every single vlog channel that I've seen on YouTube have been nothing but garbage and pure exploitation around their children. I mean I've discussed this way back when this blog first started with a post titled 'Vlogs Are Old and Dated/Why Family Channels Are Terrible.' In that post I explained as to why the genre is terrible and it leads to child exploitation. That is what this family did and for this we have The LaBrant Fam; a family channel that does vlogs and family related stuff but has caused so many problems over the years including what they said about abortions.
The Horrendous Fall:
Parentification / Pro Life Documentary / Child Exploitation:
I'm not talking about the history for this channel because it's a family channel. It's boring and nothing special. Btw, the parents names are Cole and Savannah.
So where do we begin with this? Well, it's very simple, The LaBrant Family is known for exploitation of their children despite not having a complete chance in life. It makes you wonder why these channels are the scum of the earths core. As a result, they clickbait the living shit out of their audience for more exploitation. It also leads to manipulation to where they go on a vicious cycle of the content output they produce, leading to more concerns. This is nothing new and nothing special and the fact that they make millions making vlogs alone is just unbelievable.
Because of their children being in a lot of videos, this leads to the drama to where it is today. The first one involves parentification. A YouTuber by the name of Spill Sesh made a video (shown above) explaining the situation behind The LaBrant Family including pulling one of their eldest kids named Everleigh out of school. You don't pull your kid/kids out of school and expect them help around the house acting like an adult. It doesn't work like that. The video that they made (which was posted on March 20, 2022) is just a pathetic sociopathic response. As a result, they received backlash from the community including a YouTuber named The Dad Challenge Podcast making a video about it. The level of stupidity out of people is just completely insane.
Now we get to the real uproar on why The LaBrant Family is a problem. Around the spring of 2022, a bill was passed for things related to abortion laws. Both Cole and Savannah made a video just titled "Abortion. (Documentary)" and in it, they compared abortions to the holocaust which is fucking disgusting and they also say to choose adoption. This video was received excessively poor sitting with 89k likes to 441.9k dislikes. It got so bad that several YouTuber's like Spill Sesh, JaclynGlenn, H3H3 and The Dad Challenge Podcast made videos on this matter. As a matter of fact, the #labrantfamily was made on Twitter in light of this situation.
So much so that the users on Twitter went through to their accounts that go all the way back into 2014 and these tweets aged like milk. There's also other tweets from Cole saying that 'I'm not racist' and yet he gets called out roughly 2 to 3 years ago for saying the N word. No one should trust family/vlog channels anymore because it's a dying breed. If any cases, just stop supporting them at all cost.
