Straw: The Guy Who Sold His Channel

Side Note: Please do not go and attack or harass this person.

Sticking it with the Roblox theme, we have another channel that pretty much derails himself from making any good content. A few days ago, I talked about a previous Roblox YouTuber known as Pop Cat Roblox and how he's considered to be one of the worst Roblox YouTuber's out there. Even then I've discussed quite a bit of them within the last few months. But anyways, this one will be different and for this we have Straw; a Canadian YouTuber who used to make Roblox Jailbreak videos with known YouTuber's like MyUsernameThis, however went inactive since 2021 and had been overtaken by someone else who makes content that's irrelevant to the current genre.

The Downfall:

His Channel Sold / The Decline:

Straws channel currently.

One of the worst things about YouTube channels is that they either get hacked or they just sell their channel to someone else. However, this one is pretty interesting, and I'll tell you why. For starters, Straw (a.k.a STRAWHAT_LUFFI) used to do a lot of Roblox content quite frequently and would gain a following (mostly the Jailbreak videos). Leading up between 2020 and 2021, he decided to sell his channel for some unknown reason. Now it has become one of those Family Guy Channels and he posts frequently in his Community Tab. This was covered by several YouTuber's like Rainster and JustTobex.

But here's the fucked up and yet the most interesting part of this. Pretty recently, the supposed hacked channel posted a video on May 23, 2022, which is considered to be the first video he's ever posted in 2022. Even though this is just a speedrun attempt, the description for this video explains it very clear that he's possibly going to start uploading Roblox content again. Essentially this hacked channel is still Straw. Also the reason why it isn't a full hack is because of the lack of posts. Usually from a hacked channel, they would post frequent garbage but here, there isn't. I don't know, maybe Straw is lying and making excuses to not make content anymore.

Now the final thing I want to discuss is his decline. Straw actually reached his peak around 200k subscribers in 2020 but due to him selling and rebranding his channel, he dropped down to 187k subscribers within roughly a 3-year timeframe. Viewership has also dropped significantly gaining over 200k views down to only between 1k-5k views which is ridiculously low for a channel to see. Even if he comes back, it's not going to be pretty.
