This is probably what they really meant was to praise on NFTs. |
Every single solitary day, we stray further away from god's light. In fact, it is actually much worse than that as were much further than before. Anytime when an event is brought up to the surface, it's always bound for a disaster waiting to happen. I mean we've seen it throughout the past year or so with the rise of NFTs (or Non-Fungible Tokens in the longer terms) being such a shitshow who preys on this kind of behavior. Or how about a convention known as Free Fur All who steals money and creating a lackluster experience. We kinda have a little bit of both in that retrospect and for this we have ApeFest which is a festival praising on the NFT bullshit but backfires after severe skin burns and eye burns.
The Disaster:
The Eye & Skin Killer / The Response & Downplaying:
For those that are curious about what NFT's are, it stands for Non-Fungible Tokens. They're essentially useless PNG Images that the brainwashed people who praise them are high value. The ironic twist is that you can right-click to save the images without having to pay any money or ETH.
So now that you got the basic idea on what NFT's are, let's talk about the main event. The creators that are behind the Bored Ape (or the people behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club) @yugalabs have been running a useless event called ApeFest for a couple of years now. The event is mostly just for the people who preys on NFT's and Crypto. It wasn't until a few days ago that the 2023 event of ApeFest (which took place in Hong Kong region) all went to shit after the attendees reported skin burns, eye burns and blindless from the intense ultraviolet light coming from the Bored Ape images. We know for a fact that their painful just to look at. As a result, it was picked up by various different news outlets and even made the trend on Twitter. One guy even posted his medical receipt that he got back from spending the money to go to the useless event and having to spend even more money as karma.
Their first statement. |
As more reports have been coming in and news outlets covering the topic, the management of BAYC (Bored Ape Yacht Club as the acronym) made a response in light of the situation on Twitter. In the response, the person who wrote the statement was essentially downplaying the whole thing stating that less than 1% of the attendees experienced the burns and blindness. Many people in the replies caught onto this and noticed them downplaying it. Literally over 20 hours ago (at the time I'm making this post), they had made another statement stating that they're looking into an investigation into the situations caused by the tragedy and feeling for the people into recovery.
But then not long after the whole situation was a complete dumpsterfire on the same day, one of the staff members wrote in a statement saying he was stepping down from BAYC because people dug up old tweets of him just being a flat-out racist with tweets going all the way back from 2014 to today. This is basically him being in the target for cancel culture and I mean there is a lot of it. I swear, when does the NFT craze going to end already because for us like you and I are tired of them ever since they started coming in the runabouts especially for these phony Balonis who preys on them. I will update this post if anything new comes out.
