TGFbro: Dumb People Equals Dumb Stunts

Side Note: Please do not go and attack or harass these people.

It's hard to imagine that we have people in this world that resort to the most stupidest most insane stunts out there. Before you say it yes, I've talked about only one other person in particular named Trevor Jacob who jumped out of his own airplane for views thus ended up with him being arrested almost 2 years later. The worst part about these stunts is why they do it. I mean, you have to have a fucked up mentality to do a dangerous stunt like what these guys did and for today's post we are going to be talking about TGFbro; two YouTube friends that does Vlogs, Challenges as well as Prank style videos, but one of them almost died for cementing his head in a microwave.

TGFbro (who's ran by Jamie Michael Swingler and Romell Claudius Henry) started their career on May 23, 2012. They uploaded their first video on the same day titled "The Laughter Challenge" in which they play a game to where they have to make each other laugh and it's kind of similar to the Try Not To Laugh Challenges you've seen on YouTube. The early days of their content ranged in pranks, vlogs challenges like The 3L Rainbow Milk Challenge, Ghost Chili Challenge, Fun With Helium, Boys VS Girls, Lawn Mower in Traffic Prank and so on. As the time progressed, more videos were coming out on their channel and the content was quite random like 5 Beers 5 In 5 Minutes Challenge and Rotten Egg Roulette. One of the post popular and yet most viewed video on their channel is titled "NETTLE OLYMPICS FT. KSI" which sits at over 25M views.

The Fall:

The Microwave Stunt / The Aftermath / Response:

The most infamous stunt they've done on their channel is titled "I cemented my head in a microwave and emergency services came..(nearly died)" which was posted back on December 7, 2017. As if you though that this was literally clickbait, well it's not as it's pretty much real. The idea was that Jamie decided to cement his head down into a microwave as a stunt and that he was going to run a breathing tube through the microwave and outside to where he can breathe properly. This didn't work at all as Jamie was suffocating while in the microwave. Emergency services were called to the scene and their fire department wasn't happy to see someone do a pathetic stunt like this and posted a tweet about their distaste.

Now in terms of the aftermath situation, this made public headlines and news articles with websites like Insider, USA Today and Metro making articles about this topic. This also spawned a couple of YouTuber's like Danny Gonzalez and WillNE to make videos about the topic as well. This led to him making a response video about it the very next day. In the video, Jamie explains the situation in depth and what went down in the process. He also said that the backlash that he got didn't bother him or it didn't affect him in the least bit. The response video itself was well received (in other words very positive which is rare to see when it comes to apology videos). From there, he learned his lesson and of course, this will remain in the history books.

However, their drama continued within a matter of years, and it didn't stop. On March 8, 2020, they uploaded a video titled "Extreme Driving Test With TGF (CAR FLIPPED)" in which they do some extreme driving on a sideroad by swerving and going off course. Thankfully, no one got hurt and this was all set up and planned ahead. The original video was privated during this time but many users reuploaded it, but eventually was unprivated. Around this time period, they were being sued and the court case continued until it ended on September 15, 2022. Both Jamie and Romell were fined £1,000 (around $1,245) each plus £95 ($118) in court fees. They made a video about it addressing the situation and have remained silent since then.
