Happy Early St. Patrick's Day. So, the endless number of scams with DKOldies has been continuing to grow more and more which really isn't that surprising to say the very least. I mean I covered DKOldies twice back in January. The first one being 'The Immense Scams with DKOldies' which talks about overpriced games and consoles, damage/unsanitary products, terrible reviews and shady business practices and the other one titled 'The Continuous Scams of DKOldies' where they don't like criticism, ban people on social media and still constantly mark up their prices giving you even more dirty and more disgusting products. Even More Overpriced Consoles / Misleading Responses:
So, this is more of the continuation of the previous posts since updating them would be out of the question. Anyways, DKOldies is still known to scalp their prices by a long shot. Even doing a comparison, they claim that they can beat the competitors however they don't. A primary example of this is the GameCube Indigo Super Smash Kart Pak they have on their website. The price for this (including 2 games) is $390. If you substitute 2 controllers in its $450 and if you add in AV to HDMI, it's a grand total of $475 (almost close to $500 for something you get very little of). It's a complete and utter scam and when going to a website like Ebay, you can get more stuff for even less (in some cases, you would have to pay for shipping). Another example is the Playstation 3 Super Slim 500GB System Pak. Seems reasonably priced for 2006 standards, but in terms of the $330 price tag, it's not going to score you any points for that. trying the fight against the competitors is a tough call as you can find this for even less money.
Apart from the more scams that they are trying to pull, they're always snappy when it comes to finding any negative reviews on the website. The image shown above are just several of the reviews that I found. The vast majority of these reviews were from the original Xbox and with one from the 2DS. Not only that the prices for the consoles are still expensive, many of the reviewers claimed that the consoles they were getting were not cleaned out properly (as if they were laying in the warehouse) and others saying that the consoles didn't work or were damaged. It's honestly crazy how they try to do this scheme in the first place based on the short videos they post on their channel.
Employee Interview / Constant Ban from Twitter:
This next part that I want to talk about is an interview with one of the employees. A YouTuber by the name of ReviewTechUSA did an interview a couple of days ago (on March 13, 2023) of an employee by the name of Jigsore who's a well-respected individual. Jigsore worked with DKOldies for roughly 3 years until he finally quit. The cause for quitting was work overflow and trying to do everything right. Needless to say, Jigsore did whatever he can to satisfy the customers and to basically satisfy the apparent abusive employees. Apart from several employees coming out about the workflow with DKOldies, there are still users being banned on Twitter for them not to take a joke at all or just removing posts that talk shit about them. As more evidence start to unravel so does many users to express either their experiences or just say that DKOldies is the obvious scam. Companies like this are an example of why retro gaming sucks now than what it was back then. I mean you're better off just downloading some emulation software for both MAC and PC to play the games from your computer. Also, the fact that with YouTuber's making videos on DKOldies and spending money to the company is just absurd. We get it, it's a scam, they don't clean their products, stop giving them money.
