Happy St. Patricks Day everyone and it's time for another post. It's so ironic to see someone with a low subscriber count try to take down another YouTuber with a much higher subscriber count although it rarely does happen. This is mainly because they say things that the other person doesn't like or the fact that they're hating on a specific community. When that happens, it can backfire on you pretty damn quickly. That is what this guy did and for this we have Jolko Musical; a furry YouTuber who makes videos related to music, drama, art and commentary but gets sucked into the drama by being made fun of by an obvious troll YouTuber, thus departing from making content.
Jolko Musical (formerly known as JoMu or JarVell Rippley) originally started out as a musician on SoundCloud long before his YouTube career producing instrumentals and electronic music. After that, started his account on May 1, 2017, and uploaded his first video roughly a year later on July 26, 2018, titled "Art Advice." The video itself is him giving advice and tips for people who draw as well as motivation. After the first video, he went on a year long hiatus until he returned in the fall of 2019 and made a video where he would be discussing the topic of fetishes. Yeah, it's just as stupid as it sounds. His upload rate was pretty lengthy and not as frequent. Also videos like this one wouldn't get as much attention or as much viewership when compared to other videos on his channel. However, one of his most popular and yet most viewed video on his channel is titled "Addressing The KittyDog Drama" which covers the drama surrounding another YouTuber/Artist KittyDog.
The Big Fall:
Singing Problem / The Cloog Situation / Aftermath:
Now this is where things start to go south very quickly. Remember when I said that he used to produce music? Well he never sang until he uploaded a video on October 8, 2020, titled "Monster Fight Time ZooPhobia Cover." This was his first attempt at singing though he wasn't good at it. At the time, the video was received with mixed reactions with many people saying the same exact thing. The comments under that video were so bad that the video itself was pretty much a laughingstock and nothing to combat his shitty voice.
A few months later on January 31, 2021, An animation YouTuber by the name of Cloog posted a video titled "Jolko tries to cancel cloog!!!." The video itself is roughly a little over a minute long, which depicts cloog making fun of Jolko for his terrible singing. This evidently backfired on Jolko because he didn't know that he was being made fun of and also he should know that cloog is pretty much an obvious troll based on several different posts. This garnered Jolko a massive amount of hate from the fans of cloog and Jolko's video ended up being dislike bomb, now sitting at 273 likes to 763 dislikes. It got so bad to the point of him writing in a community post about it.
From there, he kept on making videos until the final day on June 30, 2021, where it would be his last video on the channel. Around the same year, he posted a community post that he wanted to continue with commentary, but with the drama still going around against him that there's not a point. In other words, this was an announcement for his departure. He hasn't returned to the channel since then.
UPDATE: December 6, 2023:
I never expected for an update to be this long but here we are. Way back in March I talked about Jolko Musical and how his singing was terrible. Well pretty recently, he ended up deleting all of his social media accounts. His YouTube channel ended up being deleted, Soundcloud is still up though his music was removed and both his Ko-Fi and Patreon pages were all deleted.
