Worst YouTuber Segment: Whatever Happened to CarFlo

Hello and welcome back once again to another episode of Whatever Happened To; where we talk about YouTuber's that were very promising but soon fell apart for being terrible (except this channel is not terrible). Near the ending of January, I talked about Parker's Tutorials and how after a video he did in 2017, he fled his channel to make more SFX art behind the scenes. However, were not talking about a SFX artist were talking about a gamer and it's a person that I brought up in my 'Whatever Happened to Chrisandthemike' post and for this we have CarFlo; a YouTuber who plays Minecraft and is an animator but remains inactive as a way of taking a break or hiatus.

CarFlo (also known as Carlo Francis and joyceANDcarlo) started his account on July 7, 2011, with the first video being posted two days later on July 9 titled "CUBBY BUNNY!." His channel was created right around the time as Chrisandthemike's channel was taking off with a series titled Minecraft Family and Carlo was featured in several episodes before appearing fulltime. At the time of his channel, it was mostly consist of him and his sister named Joyce however this wouldn't last long and only last for a few videos before abandoning the concept. Carlo's main videos were mostly Minecraft related but throughout the years, other games would be featured like Scribblenauts, Pokemon 3D, SimCity and so on. Carlo would also do Q&A's about specific topics regarding either his life while being part of a community that involves roleplaying. One of his most popular and yet most viewed video on his channel is titled "Yandere High School - THE FIRST KISS! (Minecraft Roleplay) Ep. 5" which sits at over 1.5M views.

Falling Out with Chris / Long Breaks & Hiatus:

I talked a little bit about this in my 'Whatever Happened to Chrisandthemike' post so if you haven't seen that yet I would recommend checking it out. But anyways this is all about Carlos. Him and Chris used to be really good friends before a falling out many years ago. Chris actually threw CarFlo under the bus because CarFlo was romantically involved with Chris, something that should've been kept privately and should've been heard on Carlo's side. Despite Chris taking care of Carlos but setting boundaries is what led Carlos to leave and it was around that time where Carlos was suicidal and was going through a rough time. When he did get back on his feet, he made a Q&A video in October of 2020 explaining that he was happy for Chris but the friend group didn't last.

Despite CarFlo having close to 460k subs, his viewership tanked very badly and it's very sad for him. Compared to his videos from 12 years ago, he didn't really have a stable viewership until Chris mentioned and featured him in his Let's Plays. Carlo was also known for taking long hiatus breaks from his content and would leave his channel for long periods of time. The real question is whatever happened to him? Well, as far as I can tell he was active on his Twitter with one being in April and the other in May with a retweet from Garlien but other than that, it's where it stands.
