Fntastic Just Never Stops (Update)

Side Note: Once again, please do not go and attack or harass these people.

Well, this is the first post of February and Jesus Christ almighty if you ever thought that a game developer couldn't get much worse than this, we'll be prepared for some of the worst cringe you'll ever see in your entire life. I'm talking of course about Fntastic again. For those that don't know and need context, I made a post a month ago titled "Fntastic Shutting Down Over a Scam Game" and how all the things leading up to their most anticipated game failed, leaving for them to close the studio few days later after the release of The Day Before. This is actually the first update regarding them and by the look of the information that has been coming out by them it's definitely not pretty. I swear, these developers won't admit defeat.

Quick Recap:

It's very rare that I ever do quick recaps nowadays but I'll give you one. Fntastic was founded in 2015 in Yakutsk, Russia by two Russian guys named Eduard Gotovtsev and Aisen Gotovtsev. Overtime they released games slowly but the one game that people were hyped for was The Day Before. Behind the scenes, there have been a level of scrutiny including not registering the trademark, coming up with programs that didn't make any sense or was part of The Day Before and would barely show any gameplay footage on something other than test footage. When the game was finally released on December 7, 2023, it was met with overwhelmingly negative reception on what they claim was the final product. 4 days later on December 11, they announced the closure of the Fntastic Studios. They would also make constant changes such as the name change from Fntastic to Eight Points to I guess hide their identities, I'm not really sure.

What's New:

Constant Lying / Blaming Creators:

There were some things that I left out in the last post because I totally forgot it existed. Literally a day after the closure of the Fntastic Studio, a former volunteer by the name of Wholf (who was part of the 'Be a Volunteer' program) explains his experience on what was going on behind the scenes on working with the game basically telling everyone that "everything was a lie." Wholf worked as the Community Manager Assistant for their Discord at the time and his job was to hire and accept anyone who applied with the program. During this time, Fntastic fired Wholf for "working too slow" and his reason for that is because he wanted to hire real legit people who are well experienced with creating and programming games. With two whole years of development and a failed launch was just the tip of the iceberg. Wholf said that it was all a lie and what he got in return was Propcoins (for the game Propnight), Steam Keys and more or less a thank you note. Everyone knew damn good and well that the game itself was a big scam.

Everyone knew that because most of the popular YouTuber's had done their research and the credibility of Fntastic. With the whole closure of the studio, pretty recently Fntastic fired back and blaming creators saying that it was all part of a 'hate campaign' and released a statement on their website talking in their heads on what happened. I won't go too much into detail on their statement but the whole statement itself is so petty. They claim that they haven't taken a penny from people nor crowdfunding and preorders, yet they took people's money charging them $40 for The Day Before that's completely broken. Everyone knew going in about this game being a scam. If you thought that they couldn't lose anymore credibility, well this is an example of something far from that. KiraTV talked about it mostly in his video.

Also, I brought up Propnight in the last post and at the time before the closure of the studio, it was well received and eventually fell into the mixbag reception. Now after the closure, the game change from well received to mostly negative reception, mostly from the closure.
