Hello everyone. It really doesn't come to a surprise that this is another status update. This is not anything severe or anything that has to do with this blog, instead it's about the instances that I used. I'm talking about the Nitter Instances.
Nitter is an alternative to Twitter and it has been a go-to source for finding tweets because Twitter itself is just a corporate shithole. Nitter is another source to view the tweets rather than creating an account and having an access tweet limit per day.
This is where things start to get a little bit confusing. If you're trying to view a Nitter Instance in one browser, the chances of viewing it in another is roughly 50/50. A primary example of this is nitter.weiler.rocks. It works fine in Microsoft Edge but not in Firefox.
However, nitter.moomoo.me works in both browsers. It probably all has to do with browsers changing settings or maybe specific to various regions because with all the instances Nitter has, it's based on specific regions. I'm not entirely sure but it is just unexpected.
UPDATE: August 15, 2023:
So this is a quick update within an update. At the time I'm making this, a vast majority of the Nitter Instances are down again which was similar to when I talked about this problem back at the start of July. What sucks about this is that it was working yesterday but now it isn't. Twitter is trying to crack down on viewing tweets because it's what made this blog. While you may not see any posts when this is happening, I will continue to find more instances that work for the time being.
