This post will be an experimental post as I've never done quick posts before. If you want to see more of this, let me know and I'll do more. Anyways, so as you can tell from the title of this post, Twitter is pretty much dead at this point. With Elon Musk buying and taking over Twitter, it has gotten worse and worse from the time he bought it to the new implementations like paying for the blue check mark or just straight up block. Keep in mind that just like the rest of them, Twitter is just plain terrible in particular because it's considered to be used for sources. It's exactly how I made this blog come to life. Anyways we are talking about Twitter and how it's down in complete shambles.
The Big Problems:
Twitter API Blocking / Tweet Limits:
So, I'm going to make this post rather short when compared to other posts because there's not much to talk about. Anyways, the first problem with Twitter is the fact that they implemented this API to basically block users without an account pressuring people to sign up to view tweets. This is due to the fact that Elon is fucking greedy and would indicate that they're not getting the numbers than what they originally made it out to be. Even when you search it on Google about this problem, you'll see things related to the same issue. Even the alternatives like Nitter as an example mimics Twitter so you can't view user profiles or even the tweets either. This problem was implemented in April but had persisted well into a few months. Elon said that this was a temporary issue and had removed the login screen when viewing tweets but it's still a problem.
Now this is for the users who have accounts with Twitter. Recently, they've updated their help center and added a new line titled 'Understanding Twitter Limits.' Basically, people are getting fucked and realizing that they can only view 2,400 tweets per day and only send 500 messages per day. Now you may be thinking that 2,400 is a high number. Yes, that may be true, but for people who've been on Twitter for so many years and seeing this change is very absurd. However, it's considered to be much lower and it's only 3 tweets per day. We don't know if this is true but only time will tell. Of course, this send users into a frenzy which isn't surprising.
