Hey everyone, I'm back from the one week break from Christmas giving you the first post since the return of the break. Not gonna lie, a week was plenty enough to solve things in my personal life and it wasn't all that easy. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and wishing everyone a happy New Year. As 2023 is coming to a close, I thought it would be interesting to make a post on this guy because the story itself is pretty damn wild. For this, today we are going to be talking about Dr. Kenny Smiles who is not only a dentist but somewhat of a 'TikTok influencer' that grew in 'rapid succession'. However, that succession turned into manipulation and abuse for a lot of women.
Dr. Kenny Smiles is actually not his name and goes by Dr. Kenny Wilstead. Kenny owns a dental place called Smile Again Dental which is based out of Garland, Texas. The date that it opened is unknown with some speculating that it opened in 2010 but that was another Dental place of the same name that opened in California. Smile Again Dental promises people to fix rotten teeth into perfect teeth within a matter of hours.

However, that's where the history all ends there. On August 31, 2023, Kenny uploads a video to his TikTok about a show he's been trying to work on (similar to how reality tv shows work) but mostly regarding teeth and having smile makeovers. Kenny also pressures people to send him their stories under the #DKScasting and for people to send photos of their teeth. He would also only pick the ones whose story interests him the most which is stupid. The video itself is not only creepy, but he mentions about people who have kids and laughing in a very disturbing manor. It was a sign that the first red flag was about to begin and can also be identified if you looked at the tags under that video.

Within a few days, this whole project that he was making didn't work all that well. It's completely obvious to tell the body language from Kenny and rightfully so because not only that the hashtag eventually failed, but he also got involved in controversy after sending inappropriate messages to women. Even worse is when he's making videos like this on his TikTok account literally being the most disgusting human being of all time. After when this was brought to the surface, several news outlets began to bring light into the story talking about him being a bully to his patients and during this time he was currently under investigation for the naughty texts.
Of course, this is not the first time he was ever in trouble. Many years ago, all the way back into 2014 (and probably further) he was arrested for Prescription Fraud. In the actual report on mugshots.com, he was over-prescribing medications not only to just the patients but also himself as well as friends. Between June of 2013 to May of 2014, Kenny had prescribed over 800 Hydrocodone Pills which is such a large quantity and openly admitted to doing this. Not just Hydrocodone but also another prescription called Phentermine Hydrochloride which is similar to weight-loss pills. Unfortunately, this didn't get his license revoked.

Despite the controversy, YouTuber's like Spill and My Thots made videos talking about the situation regarding Kenny. This also led to the rise of the negative reviews and shadowbanning them from the Yelp review website. Because of the rising controversy that surrounds Kenny, Yelp decided to step in to disable the ability for people to post any reviews and they were looking into an investigation regarding the abusive environment at Smile Again Dental. Reviews range from Kenny being a bully and downright insulting to most of the patients (even his children) being racist. Honestly, it makes you wonder how or why he still has a license in the first place.
But he's not giving up just yet (or at least his 'legal team' would). Around the beginning of October (October 11 to be exact), Kenny files a lawsuit against another dentist who goes by the name of Dr. Miguel A. Ortiz who owns a dentistry in Massachusetts. The reason for the lawsuit was for the drama against Kenny with speculation that Dr. Ortiz was going to bring him on for a debate to basically humiliate Kenny. To this date, nothing has come from this. It's been roughly two months later and the results and decision is still unknown. If anything I missed out of this post, I'll update it.
