ViralHog: The Troll Company For Stealing Content

Side Note: Please do not go and attack or harass these people or this company.

There are times when you make a video with the hopes of it going viral someday, but it really doesn't get that much attention because nowadays, they're a lot of videos like the ones done so many times, making yours fail in comparison. What would it be like if it weren't for ad revenue and making money off of YouTube videos? Most of these companies may be able to help you but most of them come with very strict consequences and for this we have ViralHog; a company that helps boost your ratings and income for videos in licensing rights but was involved in some pretty hefty copyright strike abuse, making them very defensive for their actions. The company is still going to this day, but they really haven't learned their lesson.

ViralHog was founded in August of 2014 by a guy named Ryan Bartholomew, who is the Founder of the company. He's worked on various marketing companies in the past, most of them coming out of Montana but only one in Rhode Island. The company is based out of the United States in (you guessed it) Montana. The company specializes in videos going viral and it's another way for users to gain money off of their content. ViralHog scrambles around for just Amateur videos on YouTube and that's the only category they go for. Sometimes they'll reach out to you with the dreams coming true in making money from the videos alone, then again, we have something like Patreon and PayPal. Anyways most of the content is usually stuff that's animal related but occasionally, there would be kids and families.

The Fall:

Copyright Abuse / Sponsoring NFTs:

Well, we all know where this was going. So, let's start off by saying that NFTs are fucking terrible. It really doesn't come to a surprise that when a company jumps onto that particular bandwagon, it goes to shit. It's basically an image that you can right-click and save rather than paying money to get the image. ViralHog has created on of their own NFTs titled ViralHeir. This was the only thing that was posted to their community tab. You know how the story goes, it became a complete major failure and was unsuccessful. The comments (shown above) are the most interesting because some people praise Cryptocurrency while the vast majority despise it. The comments are them just unsubscribing, saying NFTs are bad and going so far just to steal other people's content. Speaking of content.

ViralHog is in the hot water for some pretty terrible copyright abuse for videos they don't own. Two videos, one by Wavywebsurf and the other one by InformOverload explain the situations about the terrible secret behind the company, including stealing content they don't have the rights to (as well as memes also) and straight up giving channels copyright strikes. In the light of this, more people are coming out about their experiences with the company. A channel by the name of DCOA (Dashcam Owners Australia) has had 3 videos striked down going as far back as 2018. Another one is someone on reddit made a TL;DR post detailing on what ViralHog did to his videos as well as his Facebook page and everything. An honorable mention who's a YouTuber also is The Apptrepreneur. One other thing I forgot to mention earlier, it's not just the only company that does this, JukinMedia and any other medias that do this shit. You might have to right click on the last image to view it.
