The Braindead Toxicity of Hero Hei

Side Note: Please do not go and attack or harass this person.

I never would've thought that I would talk about a channel that dedicates himself to the Anime Community but then again, I've almost discussed at least one person within each community so it's not very surprising. Here we are again back with another post for the start of September. Can you actually believe that it's September already? This year has gone by so fucking fast. Anyways, for today we are going to be talking about Hero Hei; a YouTuber who makes videos related to Anime stuff mainly from Attack on Titan and RWBY, but eventually turn out to be the bad guy in this scenario spreading bogus information, having to beef/bullying with others and refuses to ever learn anything.

Hero Hei (that's what he goes by his channel name) started his account on July 10, 2016, but didn't post anything for a few months until the 1st of November 2016 with the first video titled "What HAPPENED to RUBY? The TRUTH about her SEMBLENCE in Volume 4." Hero would slowly build his channel producing just RWBY based content for a while before switching to other series within the community with the first Attack on Titan video posted to the channel on June 21, 2017. Within a year, Hero would then continue to post videos regarding Spoilers, Updates and some News about specific Anime/Manga. in 2019, he resorted to talk about News regarding Anime/Manga full time and by the time that 2020 rolled around, he resorted to shorter type videos like this one as an example. Hero would rise in popularity with him reaching over 577k subscribers at the time I'm making this post. One of his most popular and yet most viewed video on his channel is titled "She tried to roast men, it didn't go well..." which sits at over 4.4M views.

The Major L:

Neath Oum & Clickbait / Using VTubers for Money / Crossdressing Drama:

So for those that need context as to who this person is, the popular Rooster Teeth show RWBY was created by a guy name Monty Oum. Monty unfortunately passed away on February 1, 2015 from an allergic reaction which remains unknown. After the passing of Monty Oum, his brother Neath Oum took over to continue working on RWBY. Neath was involved in harassment by Hero Hei and had wrote a long tweet thread exposing Hero for his lies and lack of research. Neath describes on how Hero lied to his audience about specific topics and how Hero resorts to clickbait videos most of the time. A primary example of this is when he would make over 20-30 videos talking about Uzaki-Chan which is a character from a series titled Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang-Out! During this time of the harassment sent over to Neath's end, he would fire back at those people who believe in Hero and the factual liar's.

Apart from being called out by Neath, Hero would also play a role in other communities like the VTuber community as an example, making videos talking about popular VTuber's and would use them to do fundraising under those videos which translates to him wanting the money and profiting off of someone else. Plus, we don't know where the money is actually going so it's possibly going into his pocket or the organization. Speaking of which, Fundraising under specific videos only goes to the organizations or charities but claims that VTuber's are protected under the scene when you know for fact that it's really not.

Regardless of how you watch or see his content, he continues to produce clickbait content and derailing any topic that he finds strange. It's almost as if he's trying to be the next Matt Jarbo a.k.a. Mundanematt. Anyways, on June 25, 2023 (near the ending of pride month), Hero posted an image on Twitter with the original tag that said 'Something I've been working on' before changing it to 'working on a new cosplay!!! <3.' At this point, the image was received between a mixbag to very poor and people pointed out that Hero was doing this tactic hiding the fact that he's very homophobic, so he kept on doing it anyways. It's honestly fucking disturbing.
