The worst part about YouTube is getting terminated, even for the ones that do really great content. It's bad to say that a YouTuber needs to be terminated but if their content sucks so bad to the point where they do the dumbest shit, then it's pretty much well-deserved. Thats exactly what this guy did to get his channel shut down. Today we are going to talk about ItsOwen; a gamer/commentary YouTuber that makes content related to the current trends and other drama but has gotten himself into a lot of trouble for scams, clickbait videos and the most controversial the Technoblade video. The only other channel that I talked about in terms of termination was ImJayStation.
The Major Fall:
The Technoblade/MrBeast Video:
I'm not going to go over the history on Owen Clough (formerly known as ItsOwen) and the previous controversies on him because it's long and boring. I want to focus on him regarding his termination. As shown in the video above is the primary example of why he was terminated in the first place. Way back during the summer of 2022 Owen makes a video titled "MrBeast Final Goodbye to Technoblade" (video shown above since deleted but reuploaded) where "MrBeast responded saying goodbye after Technoblade's passing" which that never happened. As a result, the video received a ton of backlash from the community, and everyone obviously came to the conclusion that the footage was doctored as there was no video about MrBeast saying goodbye to Technoblade. This led to Owen getting terminated by YouTube on Independence Day (July 4, 2022).
As YouTubers such as Mogul Mail, Haldyn, Jalyn and several others make videos on Owen's backlash and termination, He tried at least several attempts to get YouTube to reinstate his channel. Obviously, the community stepped up and said, 'he doesn't belong here' and with YouTube they finally did something right for a change. At the time I'm making this post, there has been news articles on him like this one from Sportskeeda and Dexerto to even on various Reddit posts. Commentary channels suck and Owen is no different. At some point (and I don't know if this is true or not) he tried creating another channel just for Fortnite content but as it turns out, he got flagged by YouTube again. I'm not sure.
